Before There Was
Compass & Cross
Every story has a beginning.
Ours didn’t start with a logo, a sketchbook or a business plan.
It started decades earlier.
It grew through friendship.
Through school.
Through service.
Through family.
Through challenge.
Through success, failure and the lessons that only time can teach.
Long before Compass & Cross had a name, it already existed as an idea: the belief that character matters more than reputation.
That integrity isn’t something you put on when people are watching. It is something you carry every day.
That purpose is not found by standing still, but by choosing your direction and having the courage to stay true to it.
Life has a way of changing your course. Sometimes by choice. Sometimes without warning. Like many people, we have experienced moments of certainty and moments of doubt, success and failure, strength and vulnerability.
Chapter Two
Different Paths.
Shared Values.
Nick served just short of a decade as a Royal Marines Commando. He achieved the elite role of Physical Training Instructor,before moving onto the private security sector, working in both the maritime and UHNW areas of the industry.
After nearly two decades in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Keith transitioned to private security, before building a career in the renewable energy sector.
The discipline, resilience and sence of purpose forged throughout the journeys above continue to shape the principles Compass & Cross is built upon
Although our paths were different,serving across the globe. The lessons we carried with us were remarkably similar.
Discipline. Responsibility. Loyalty. Resilience. And the understanding that direction matters more than speed.
No matter where life took us, we always gravitated back together as brothers.
